RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM:            

RESIDENTIAL TRAINERS - Seeking individuals to work in various residential settings in the Countryside area - FT positions available.  Provide training & supervision to adults with disabilities.  H.S. diploma or GED required.  Must possess good communication skills & a valid D.L. with good driving record.  

TEAM LEADER – F.T. – We are looking for a caring individual with good communication skills to act as Team Leader in one of our group homes.  Must have some supervisory experience and experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.  A valid D.L. with a good driving record is also required.

CILA SUPERVISOR – F.T. needed to supervise team leaders and trainers within the agency's CILA programs. Provide training, supervision and service coordination for adults with developmental disabilities in a community living arrangement.  Qualified candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in social services or related field or 3 years experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and 2 years supervisory exp. A valid Driver's License with a good driving record is also required.

DAY PROGRAMS – Countryside

DEVELOPMENTAL TRAINER – F.T.-  seeking a friendly, outgoing individual to provide daily living skills, vocational and recreational training to adults with disabilities in a day program. Qualified candidate must have a H.S. diploma or GED and a valid D.L. w/good driving record. Previous DSP training is a plus.

JOB COACH – F.T./P.T. -   seeking a responsible person to job coach individuals with disabilities on community jobs.  Must be a gd. communicator, possess a valid D.L. w/good driving record, H.S. diploma or GED, & possess vocational training exp.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST -  F.T. - Provide P.T. services to adults and children with disabilities in a day program located in Countryside.  Must be a licensed Physical Therapist.

ACTIVITY AIDE - P.T. – seeking a part-time activity aide to provide recreation and leisure services to adults with developmental disabilities. The activity aide will also provide training for the individuals living in Helping Hand's SLA (Supported Living Arrangement) in La Grange. Qualified candidate will be energetic, creative, and possess excellent communication skills. Experience working with adults with disabilities is a plus. Must be 23 years of age with a valid D.L. and a good driving record in order to become a PACE certified driver. Hours: Weekdays, evening and one weekend day required.

EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST– F.T. - Helping Hand operates a small startup sandwich shop/concession stand that is run by adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a self-started to act as a trainer/manager who will encourage employees' independence and expand the business. The idea candidate should be personable, organized, a great communicator, and good with numbers. Business/food service background preferred. Must have experience working with adults with development disabilities. A valid D.L. with a good driving record required.

CHILDREN’S PROGRAM AND AUTISM SCHOOL:

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER -  Must have M.A. degree and LBS-1 licensing and experience working with children with autism.

TEACHER AIDES – F.T.- 35 hours per week.  Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree and experience working with children with disabilities.

DRIVER/PRODUCTION AIDE - F.T.- Seeking energetic person to make deliveries and perofrm a variety of tasks while not driving. Deliveries made using box truck or smaller, class C license required. Other duties may require coordinating warehouse and providing job training and assistance to persons with disabilities on the production workfloor.
