STAFF ACCOUNTANT - F.T. - Helping Hand Center is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage the Accounts Receivables function. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for processing sales tax payments, assisting in the preparation of applications for both private and public grants, and assisting with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements. Additional responsibilities include compliance with the financial, statistical, and data reporting requirements for all agency grants and contracts from federal, state, county, local, and private funding sources. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree plus 1-3 years’ experience working in an accounting office. Experience with Sage MIP software preferred.
CASE MANAGER - QIDP - F.T. - The Helping Hand Center is seeking a Case Manager to provide individualized service to persons with disabilities in day/residential programs. Provide training and support through individualized plans in the areas of activities of daily living, community integration, and leisure skills. Lay a foundation for support of personal growth based on Helping Hands standard of performance principle that each individual can grow in one or more personal dimensions, i.e. physical, mental, or emotional and that he/she has abilities that can be maximized. Coordinate, monitor, and advocate with and for the individual being served or supported, in all areas related to the planning, developing, reviewing, and evaluating of outcome plans. Requirements: Must have a Bachelors Degree in social services or related field; QIDP certification preferred; previous experience working with adults with developmental disabilities; a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST - PEDIATRIC CLINIC - F.T. - Helping Hand Center is seeking an experienced licensed Physical Therapist to provide services to our clients within the Pediatric Clinic. Responsibilities include evaluation of gross motor, fine motor, perceptual and ADL skills, providing written documentation of results and recommendations for programming, completion of formal evaluation reports and providing consultation to other staff members. In addition, the physical therapist will provide training to members of each consumers family in order to ensure carryover at home along with delivering in-service training to staff and others. Additional responsibilities include fulfilling the requirements of the State of Illinois EI and Education programs in the areas of: documentation, reports, family/professional contacts and services to consumers and their families. Requirements: Current license/registration with the State of Illinois to provide Physical Therapist services; current Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services registration to provide Physical Therapist Services or possess appropriate licensure to obtain registration; Current State of Illinois Bureau of Early Intervention(EI)certification for Physical Therapist or have appropriate training and experience to successfully complete the registration process. Must have experience working with individuals with disabilities ages 0-21 years.
TALENT ACQUISITION CONSULTANT - F.T. - Helping Hand Center is seeking a Talent Acquisition Consultant. Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer and in accordance with stated organizational policies and procedures this position provides support to the organizations talent acquisition needs. This role will focus on bringing in the highest level of talent to help drive the organization forward while delivering a "best in class" candidate experience. The HR Business Partner for Talent Acquisition will act as a strategic partner and consultant to management in all areas involving recruiting and talent acquisition, up to and including executive level positions by demonstrating effective resource planning, results delivery, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation. Requirements: Bachelors Degree preferred. Must have 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience; 5 or more years is strongly preferred. Must have experience with applicant tracking systems and demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
MAINTENANCE GENERALIST - P.T. - Maintenance Generalist - P.T. needed to assist in the maintenance of Helping Hand Center building locations, i.e. painting, minor repairs, snow removal, grass cutting, etc. Work Monday through Friday and occasionally weekends - 25 hrs. per week. Position is on-call for special events and emergencies. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.; have a reliable vehicle; possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record; and prior maintenance experience. Position pays $11 - $15 per hour depending on experience.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF RESIDENTIAL SERVICES - F.T. - The employee under the Director of Residential Services, provide oversight and directly manage the CILA Supervisors as it relates to their overall job performance and in accordance with stated agency policies and procedures provides support for special projects and administrative support to the administrative staff of the agency.
Monitor all operations including health care practices, billing, coding, documentation, eligibility and internal controls systems/procedures. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to respond to crises and tight deadlines such as unscheduled reviews/audits and investigations conducted by government agencies. Develop, update and enforce workflows and agency practices in response to internal and external needs. Train staff in operational and quality improvement requirements and processes including best practices and regulatory, contractual and operational requirements.
Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in healthcare, public health, public administration, nonprofit management, organizational management or related field preferred; or equivalent years of experience. At least 3 to 5 years healthcare operations experience preferably in a non-profit/behavioral health setting. Knowledge of National Fire and Protection Agency Life Safety Codes.Knowledge of Administrative Code and Interpretive Guidelines for Sanitation Certification. A valid IL driver’s license; with proof of current vehicle insurance. Ability to pass criminal background check and all pre-employment testing.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROVIDER (DSP - RESIDENTIAL) - F.T./P.T. - Seeking Direct Support Providers (DSP) to provide life skills training for adults with developmental
disabilities living in the community. PT and FT openings: evening, overnight and weekend hours. This

RECREATIONAL TRAINER - P.T. - Helping Hand Center is seeking part-time Trainer for our Special Recreation Program. The Recreation Trainer provides recreational and support services for adults with developmental disabilities. The qualified candidate will be energetic, creative, and possess excellent communication skills. Requirements: Previous experience working with adults with disabilities, a High School diploma or GED, must be at least 23 years of age and possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record for Pace driver certification. Previous DSP preferred but will train.
TRUCK DRIVER - P.T. - Part-Time truck driver needed for social service agency workshop program located in LaGrange, IL. The truck driver will make deliveries using the agency vehicle, as needed. The hours for this position will be between 20-25 hours per week. Requirements: High school diploma, plus one year of work experience in the industry. Current Class C drivers license, and a good driving record.
VOCATIONAL TRAINER - F.T. - The Helping Hand Center is seeking an energetic, outgoing individual to provide job coaching and skills training to adults with disabilities. Training is done on light packaging and assembly jobs that vary. Requirements: High School diploma or GED; able to lift up to 50 lbs; basic math and computer skills; previous experience working with adults with disabilities; previous DSP training a plus.
BUS DRIVER - F.T. - Helping Hand Center is seeking a bus driver to transport children and adults with disabilities in the areas surrounding Countryside, IL. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday - split shift AM/PM - with excellent benefits including health, dental, life/LTD insurance; paid holidays, vacation, sick and personal time. The qualified applicant must possess a CDL drivers license with school bus driver endorsement. Must possess a safe driving record to meet the requirements of Pace driver certification.
